Dramione? - FTM

If you haven't read the books or watched haven't watched the films and you don't want to be spoiled, I highly suggest that you don't stay because this post will contain spoilers.

So if you didn't know what Dramione is, it is simply a ship. Now I don't think many people would have started shipping this if it weren't for J.K. Rowling confirming that Draco Malfoy had a secret crush on Hermione in the books. I am not ashamed to say that I am a shipper of this particular ship. I don't ship it because I think it would "So hot!" or "So adorable!" according to some people, I ship it because it would have given Draco so much more depth as a character. Not only would it have given him so much backstory and character, it would give so much more to his side of the story that happens in the books.

It is said in the books that Draco really admired his father who was one of Voldemort's servants you could say. So it was pretty obvious that Draco was going to eventually go into the "Family Business" which he does. In the sixth book The Half-Blood Prince, you find out that Draco becomes a death eater and some people describe him as the chosen one but on the dark side. His mission was to murder Albus Dumbledore the headmaster at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. For me anyway, I found the Malfoy's cowardly at times but that is completely understandable because they were working for Voldemort and they obviously wanted to live. One of the things that I really loved about the Malfoy family is that they did show a little bit of resistance, you could tell that they didn't want to do certain things because most people on Voldemort's side would kill anyone at anytime.

One thing that always got me thinking was the reasoning behind Draco willingly letting his parents force him to join Voldemort's army. Some people in the books would have rather died then work for him, I mean Draco was just a teenager at the time but it still confused me. Even though I knew the whole story behind it, it was never enough.

Yes, the Malfoy's showed cowardliness at times but I think his father was always the more cowardly one but they all still had a brave side.

Then one day, I stumbled across a video called Draco + Hermione| Scarlet. Once I watched it I thought, why didn't J.K. Rowling decide to do this?! It would have made sense with the story, it would have done a unique thing to the story---oh wait...She had already done that. In the last book in the series The Deathly Hallows, a revelation was made that Severus Snape was in love with Harry's mother Lily Potter. That whole storyline made me have so much more respect for Snape, not that I didn't before but it did. It also gave me a much better understanding on his character. However, it did just make me think why couldn't she have done this whole thing with Draco and Hermione. Of course, the story would kind of be repeating itself but I'm sure J.K. Rowling could have thought of something because she is a mastermind.

Until this day, I still wish that Dramione was thing because their story could have gone places. I'm sorry but I'm not the biggest fan of Ron and Hermione... I'm a fan but also not a fan. There were all of these other couples in the books and I liked all of them and Ron and Hermione were kind of just there...Don't get me wrong, I think they're a cute couple but they just didn't mesh well in my opinion.

If you would like to see the video, you can watch it below.
